No — R4,848 is an illustrative starting point based on a standard Tesla Powerwall 3 system. The actual rental amount is calculated by Wetility and may differ depending on your home, system size, and finance approval. Rental agreements also include a 7.5% annual escalation, which means the monthly payment increases slightly each year. VAT is also applicable. The exact monthly fee will be shown in your personalised Wetility quote before you sign.

Is there really no upfront cost?

Correct. Unlike traditional solar installs, you don’t need to put down a large deposit. Everything is included in the monthly rental.

What’s included in the rental?

Your rental covers the Tesla Powerwall 3 system, solar panels, inverter, installation, Certificate of Compliance, 10-year insurance, 10-year warranty, 20-year panel & mounting coverage, and annual system cleaning.

Who installs the system?

Only certified Tesla installers from Segen’s nationwide network will handle your installation to ensure safety, compliance, and quality.

What if my home isn’t suitable?

A certified Tesla installer will carry out a site visit first. If your home isn’t suitable, no stock is released and you won’t be charged.

What if I want extras, like more panels?

Any add-ons outside the standard package are quoted separately by the installer and paid directly by you.

What happens after the 10-year rental?

You’ll have the option to renew, extend, upgrade, or cancel your system, depending on your needs.

Who looks after the system?

Your system includes annual maintenance and cleaning, along with full insurance coverage for 10 years — so you’re always protected.
